As many of you know, July 3rd was a crazy weather day! With a whole lot of rain and an abundance of joy while surrounded by family and friends, Casey + Jonathan tied the knot!!! If what they say is true, all of that rain will make Jonathan and Casey very lucky and rich! These two were so flexible and go-with-the-flow as the day unfolded and it was so easy to see that they were just so excited to be married and so in love!
If you know me, you know I LOVE a St. Mary's Catholic Center wedding, and this one did not disappoint. When we all arrived at St. Mary's it was POURING. Luckily, we all made it inside relatively dry haha. We headed into the JPII Center for Casey and Jonathan's private first touch and letter exchange. We found a corner that was perfect for them to hold hands around without risk of Jonathan seeing his gorgeous bride before she walked down the aisle. They took turns reading the letters they'd written to each other out loud and let me tell you, the love that these two have for each other is so pure. Jonathan's hands were shaking as he read his letter and a few tears may have spilled on both sides of the wall (yes, you already know I cried too). It was a beautiful, quiet moment of joy and anticipation before they said "I Do."
The ceremony itself was a full Catholic mass and it couldn't have been better! I loved seeing Jonathan as Casey walked down the aisle, both of them with the biggest smiles on their faces. The groomsmen kept looking over at Jonathan with excited smiles too, and it was easy to see how happy they were for him. After Casey and Jonathan exchanged vows and rings, Casey did the cutest little celebratory dance and brought a smile to everyone's face haha. I think my favorite part of the ceremony was right after everyone had received communion. Everyone was back in the pews for a few minutes of prayer and the musicians were singing a beautiful praise and worship song. Seeing Jonathan and Casey kneeling together at the altar lost in a beautiful moment of worship was so powerful and I think it showed everyone in the church where their relationship is rooted. So beautiful!!!
Post ceremony... it stopped raining! (For the most part). After family photos Casey, Jonathan and I were able to sneak out onto the covered front steps of the church for a few quick portraits before driving out to Navasota.
This was the first time I'd been out to Moore Ranch on the Brazos, and I loved it! The decor looked so beautiful thanks to Jennifer and Sarah at Perfectly Planned. The reception was such a party! Casey and her dad surprised the guests with a super fun Father Daughter Dance and Jonathan and his mom had such a sweet Mother Son Dance. Casey's sister, Taylor, got her own special dance with both Jonathan and Casey and I don't think there was a dry eye in the room after such a sweet moment.
We lucked out and the rain stopped altogether after dinner! We headed outside to take some more portraits of the bride and groom. Shout out at Casey for being so easy-going as we walked through some very wet grass and her dress got saturated. (I always tell my brides it's ok to be worried about the dress getting dirty, but this is it's one and only day to shine so we have to get allll the photos!!) Later in the evening we even went back out for a few more portraits as the sky cleared up and gave us a BEAUTIFUL sunset.
When it came time for the last dance and the exit, I think we were all surprised by how quickly the evening had flown by. Casey and Jonathan enjoyed one last dance on their wedding day while their guests headed outside to get ready for the sparkler send-off. As the couple walked through the sparkler tunnel, one of the groomsmen set off fireworks and then the new Mr. & Mrs. Wolf drove off in a Corvette! I cannot wait for you to scroll through all of the fun we had together! Congratulations, Jonathan and Casey!
