If Bailey and Trevor's wedding was any indication as to how the rest of my 2023 weddings will go... it's going to be an amazing year.

These two high school sweethearts got married on January 7 -- the most beautiful and perfect 75 degree January day there ever was. Houston had rain on the forecast ~all~ day long, but we truly lucked out. No rain (except for a quick shower in the morning) and beautiful, clear skies. Plus, a stunning golden hour and sunset for their newlywed portraits!!

We started our day off with Bailey and her bridesmaids as she got ready in her childhood home. Once all of the hair and makeup was done, we headed over to St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church; Bailey and Trevor's home parish and the place where they met. Bailey and Trevor decided to do a "first touch" in the pews before the ceremony. (If you're not familiar with that term, it's where the bride and groom get to spend a few minutes together talking or praying before the ceremony without the groom seeing the bride). As soon as Bailey walked up and sat down in the pew behind Trevor, everyone was crying. In fact, I think the first thing she said was "I'm crying, are you crying?" They spent a few quiet minutes alone together before returning to their hiding spots until the ceremony. As Bailey walked away, Trevor wiped a tear from his cheek; resulting in one of my top two favorite images from the day.

The ceremony was (of course) beautiful!! The church itself was so pretty, but the fact that Bailey and Trevor got to exchange vows in the church where their relationship began added a whole other layer of beauty. The reception was held at Waters Edge in El Lago, and the venue and decorations looked STUNNING! One of my favorite reception photos was taken toward the end when the newlyweds went and sat at the head table for a moment to enjoy a piece of cake and take it all in as their friends and family partied on the dance floor.

Bailey and Trevor got to have the perfect golden hour on the water for their wedding day, and I just love how their newlywed portraits turned out! Plus we got a beautiful sunset over the water!! What a perfect day! Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Garza!
