Andrew and Tori are engaged!! Andrew and I became friends while working together during the 2019 football season, and it was so exciting to get to be there to photograph this huge moment for him and Tori, who is one of the sweetest people I've ever met! The two of them met through mutual friends when they were in college, and they dated for six years before getting engaged on June 5, 2021.
Andrew decided on Buffalo Bayou Park for the proposal spot and had a coworker send him a fake invite for a work party at a restaurant close to the spot where he proposed. This might've worked a little too well, because after he popped the question Tori couldn't believe there wasn't actually a party LOL. Little did she know, there was a party - just not at the restaurant.
It was a beautiful, sunny day all the way up until half an hour before Andrew proposed. As I sat there in the park waiting for them to arrive, the crowd of people I was trying to blend in with slowly disappeared as the sky become dark and it got windy. I thought FOR SURE it was about to pour. Luckily, the weather held up for us and it wasn't until I was driving back to College Station a few hours later that the torrential downpour began.
Andrew and Tori walked around a beautiful little pond looking at the turtles until they got to the spot we'd decided on beforehand, when Andrew got down on one knee and popped the question. Tori was so surprised and so excited and it was such a sweet moment to witness! Once they were ready, we headed over the the Sabine Street Bridge to take more photos with Downtown Houston as the backdrop and I couldn't be more obsessed with how the photos turned out!!
Congratulations, Andrew and Tori! I'm so excited for you two to start this chapter of your lives together!
