Julia & Ryan are two dear friends from Texas A&M who are also high school sweethearts! I first met Julia in 2018 when we went on a mission trip to Honduras together, and let me tell you -- she is the most beautiful soul! I got to take senior photos for Julia in 2020, and was so excited when she and Ryan reached out about wedding photography!
Engagement photos weren't originally part of the plan, but we ended up adding one on a few months before the wedding and I'm so glad they decided to! We met up in Austin and had so much fun walking around Bull Creek District Park. It was the perfect opportunity for them to get some practice in and start feeling comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day!
On to the wedding day!! Julia and Ryan had the most beautiful wedding ceremony at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes, Texas. I can't tell you how many times I've driven past that church throughout my life, so it was really exciting to get to photograph a wedding there! Julia and Ryan's first kiss was a solid 12/10, complete with a dip! The photo is one of my favorites, especially because Father Augustine is standing off to the side with the biggest smile on his face. I feel like it just really embodies how loved these two are!
After the ceremony, we headed to the reception at The Gardens at West Green, and it was something out of a dream!!! This was the first fully outdoor reception I'd photographed, and this venue was the PERFECT spot for the occasion! It was so, so beautiful!
